North Dakota Credit Repair Laws
Consumers in North Dakota wanting to use a credit repair firm to repair their bad credit need to know that North Dakota credit repair laws (N.D. Cent. Code §§ 13-06-01 to 13-06-03, 13-07-01 to 13-07-07) give some protection above federal laws.
The following bad credit repair laws apply to the state of North Dakota
Bad credit repair services may not enter into an agreement with a debtor unless a thorough written budget analysis indicates that the debtor can reasonably meet the requirements of the financial adjustment plan and will benefit from it.
Credit repair services are required to credit any interest accrued as a result of payments deposited in a trust account to debt management education programs.
Credit repair services may charge an origination fee of up to $50; may take up to 15% of any sum deposited by the debtor for distribution as partial payment of the service’s total fee.
